Arnaud Francq

Arnaud Francq is a member of the advisory board. Arnaud was Director of IATA Financial Settlement System (FSS) in Geneva for 10 years and 15 years in banking in London. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) represents some 290 airlines comprising 82% of global air traffic. IATA Financials services processed  over $400 BILLION per annum. His responsibilities included the development and management of financial services for airlines, airports and aviation partners. It included IATA Currency Clearance Services (ICCS) that enables airline treasurers to centrally control and repatriate their worldwide sales funds.

The ICCS were responsible in 2017 for repatriating over $1.7 billion from countries with severe currency liquidity issues and restrictions, including Nigeria and Egypt. Overall, the ICCS processed $35.2 billion. Other example of services included Card Services and Collection services from airports and air navigation service providers. Arnaud was the secretary of IATA Treasury Working group, a committee of airline treasurers working on key treasury for the industry and in particular on issues of currency repatriation. Prior to that position, Arnaud worked at HSBC Bank plc in London in Global Payments Cash Management managing teams in Product and then Sales for Continental Europe. Arnaud also worked at Citibank for nearly ten years both in London and in Abidjan, focusing on Global Transaction Banking (GTB). He was region head for GTB in West Africa, product and sales team manager for Europe. Arnaud has an MBA from INSEAD, and engineering degree from Ecole Nationale d’Aviation Civile in Toulouse.
