CXC Report on Corporate Treasurers' experiences with back office financial process outsourcing
CompleXCountries (CXC) today (20th May 2026) published a report on the experiences of corporate treasurers with Back Office Financial Outsourcing, comparing the experiences of treasurers managing the relationship with an internal SSC (Shared Services Centre) or COE (Centre of Excellence) with those having services provided by a 3rd party outsourcer such as IBM, E&Y and Accenture. The report is based on a confidential peer discussion between senior practitioners in which they shared and compared their approach and experiences with outsourcing.
Prior to this discussion we polled members on their use of back office outsourcing. 56% of respondents had an (internal ) shared service centre set up - of these 68% included some treasury functions. Of the 21% who outsourced to a 3rd party provider, 38% included some treasury functions. Of the 25% who do not outsource, 25% are considering outsourcing as a future option.
The key findings of the report can be read on the CompleXCountries website: www.CompleXCountries.com
