The CompleXCountries management team, comprising Damian Glendinning, Monie Lindsey and Rupert Keenlyside, have extensive experience in Corporate Treasury practice, consulting, research and media. Our advisory board comprises senior professionals with backgrounds in corporate treasury and banking who provide expert chairing for our treasury peer calls and expert contributions to our activities and planning.

Damian Glendinning

Damian Glendinning is chairman of the CompleXCountries Advisory Board, with extensive experience running corporate treasury in complex markets. After 21 years with IBM, Damian joined Lenovo in 2005 as Group Treasurer, following the acquisition of IBM’s personal computer business. He had spent four years as IBM’s Asia/Pacific treasurer, in Singapore, and was their Director of Global Treasury Operations in New York. Damian is a fellow of the ACCA, and has a degree in French and Italian from Oxford University. He was president of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (Singapore) from June 2010 to July 2018.

Monie Lindsey

Monie Lindsey is a member of the CompleXCountries Advisory Board, with extensive experience consulting to global corporate treasuries, global and regional transaction banks as well as related industry providers. Over a 25+ year career, she has held senior level positions, most notably with Treasury Strategies as Managing Director and Head of the London office. She has a CertICM from the UK ACT, served as a senior assessor for the UK ACT’s advanced treasury certifications and served as a member of the EBA’s Supply Chain Working Group. She has a degree in Economics from Randolph Macon Woman’s College and an MBA from Wake Forest University.

Rupert Keenlyside

Rupert Keenlyside is founder of CompleXCountries with over 20 years of experience in corporate treasury research and media. He founded gtnews.com in 1997, establishing its unique (at the time) editorial model as well as producing numerous research assignments and content projects for global banking clients. After selling gtnews to the Association for Finance Professionals (AFP) in 2007, Rupert worked for The Economist Group as director of product development for EuroFinance where he also acquired and ran the Commercial Payments International business (CPI).

Simon Jones

Former Chief Customer Officer ClearBank, Fintech Mentor, Advisor, Conference Chair & Payments Industry Expert  is a member of the CompleXCountries advisory board.

Simon is a member of the CompleXCountries advisory board. Simon has many years of leadership experience in fintech, treasury, digital payments, and transaction banking in developed as well as emerging markets.  He is now a mentor and an advisor to several Fintechs in the digital banking and payments arena.  Prior to this he was Chief Customer Officer at ClearBank, the first new fully licenced clearing bank in the UK for more than 250 years, which is fully cloud-based and API first.  ClearBank was voted in 2021 by Deloitte’s Fast 50, as the fastest growth technology company in the UK. He is a mentor on the TechStars Fintech programmes in Europe.    

Simon spent a large part of his career working for J.P. Morgan, in multiple regions, in several positions including, Head of Corporate Sales in EMEA and Asia Regional Executive for Treasury Services based in Hong Kong. Simon joined Chase Manhattan Bank in Singapore as an International Treasury Consultant and held several sales and consulting positions in Asia. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Chase, he began his treasury management career with the London International Group Plc and Omnicom Group in London. Simon was acknowledged as an industry champion in the Asia Pacific and was voted by Finance Asia in 2009 one of the top 50 Asia Masters of Finance. He is a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (FCT) in the UK.

Strategic partner to corporate clients to achieve commercial outcomes through use of technology and innovative digital solutions. Deep, current, on the ground Asian experience, including direct multi-country P&L responsibility, across 19 Asia Pacific markets over 27 years.

Group Head of Global Transaction Banking to 2021 of DBS Bank, regarded as the world’s best digital bank and Southeast Asia’s influential largest bank, which has borrowed from the tech sector to disrupt approaches, processes, and systems in the industry. Former NED of SWIFT, the global financial infrastructure network and Chair of AXS, Singapore’s largest retail e-services and bill payment provider.

Arnaud Francq

Arnaud Francq is a member of the advisory board. Arnaud was Director of IATA Financial Settlement System (FSS) in Geneva for 10 years and 15 years in banking in London. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) represents some 290 airlines comprising 82% of global air traffic. IATA Financials services processed  over $400 BILLION per annum. His responsibilities included the development and management of financial services for airlines, airports and aviation partners. It included IATA Currency Clearance Services (ICCS) that enables airline treasurers to centrally control and repatriate their worldwide sales funds.

The ICCS were responsible in 2017 for repatriating over $1.7 billion from countries with severe currency liquidity issues and restrictions, including Nigeria and Egypt. Overall, the ICCS processed $35.2 billion. Other example of services included Card Services and Collection services from airports and air navigation service providers. Arnaud was the secretary of IATA Treasury Working group, a committee of airline treasurers working on key treasury for the industry and in particular on issues of currency repatriation. Prior to that position, Arnaud worked at HSBC Bank plc in London in Global Payments Cash Management managing teams in Product and then Sales for Continental Europe. Arnaud also worked at Citibank for nearly ten years both in London and in Abidjan, focusing on Global Transaction Banking (GTB). He was region head for GTB in West Africa, product and sales team manager for Europe. Arnaud has an MBA from INSEAD, and engineering degree from Ecole Nationale d’Aviation Civile in Toulouse.

Christof Nelischer

CXC advisory board member Christof joined S4 Capital plc in London as Group Treasurer in 2022. Prior to that he was Head of Treasury at the John Lewis Partnership in London, andGlobal Group Treasurer at Willis Towers Watson plc based in London. In those roles, Christof has been responsible for the insurance function as well as Treasury.

Earlier career stations include Head of Treasury at Fiberweb plc, leading corporate treasury as well as risk management, Group Treasury Manager at Novar plc, where he re-engineered the treasury function, and European Treasurer at Kellogg’s, having set up the European Treasury Centre. He was also Group Treasurer at International Personal Finance plc in 2019/20.

Christof holds a dual degree in European Finance and Accounting, and an MBA from Manchester Business School. He is a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers
